Liability Transfer Programs

Financial firms are acquiring the unused real estate assets of various companies in order to develop marketable properties. Prior to completing these transactions, it is incumbent upon the buyer to review and evaluate any environmental requirements and determine the risk factors associated with acquiring the asset. During this initial phase, KEY assists clients by reviewing property historical data and permits along with any other environmental issues. We also provide cost estimates for the short and long term management of these activities.

After the sale is closed, KEY and our affiliate FTS assist our clients with the permit transfers, regulatory negotiations, sampling, groundwater management, and development of engineering plans for site remedial actions. This combination of hydrogeological evaluations, engineering studies and planning, data management, regulatory analysis, construction management, and cost analysis have made KEY a critical partner in assisting our clients with these multi-million dollar projects.
